Overview
Safe use of Pesticide: PA6. This course is suitable for those needing the legislative qualification for spraying, using hand held applicators. It is based around the National Proficiency Test Council PA6 (Hand Held Applicators) Test and is designed to help people to successfully prepare for their tests. Note that this course includes as standard some of the content required for PA6 aw, for the application of pesticide on or near water. For those wishing to attain the PA6aw qualification will need further tutoring and be re examined. The course lasts for one day, with attendance required to sit the test on another day following the course.

  • Operating the hand held equipment in a variety of operating circumstances
  • Out of season maintenance and storage
  • General Safety
  • Calibrating the hand held equipment
  • Decontamination of equipment and protective clothing
  • Daily check
  • Review

Entry Requirements
Candidates must pass their PA1 assessment prior to completing testing for PA6.


Certification/Award on Completion
NPTC Level 2 Award in Safe Use of Pesticides - Module PA6 Hand Held Pesticide Applicators.


What you will need to bring
Appropriate PPE, passport photograph, notebook and pen.
