Management Team

Cityscape Academy has evolved out of recognition of our own business training needs. It's not only important to provide good, reliable, cost effective training but also to equip staff members with the skills  to actually do the job in hand.

Founding members and Directors, David Layland and Richard Podmore bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Academy providing business acumen, leadership and a passion to make things work effectively.


Julia Gray has worked in the education sector for 9 years and has over 25 years’ experience in administration. Her attention to detail ensures that candidates are fully informed of their progress throughout the courses and all the necessary forms and documentation are completed on a timely basis.

Trevor Jones has worked in education for most of his career with wide ranging training roles to Deputy and Acting Head at schools for special needs. Trevor also has extensive practical skills having worked in invasive weed management, and has a passion for the environment. He’s also a keen sportsmen having played rugby as a semi pro in his younger days.

Mark Price has a wealth of experience as both a trainer and contractor in the horticulture and the amenity sector. He has extensive qualifications across all disciplines, as well as the ability to both verify and assess candidates. Mark has practical skills acquired over the years from working within the industry and has a wealth of knowledge and experience that enhances every course.
